JFC Cultural Week 2026

JFC Munene College of Health Sciences is preparing for one of the most anticipated student events of the year — JFC Cultural Week 2026, set to take place from 19th to 23rd October 2026.

Building on the energy, creativity and memorable performances of previous cultural celebrations, this year’s Cultural Week will bring together students from across departments, programmes, intakes and backgrounds for a vibrant celebration of culture, talent, creativity, diversity and student life.

For one exciting week, the campus will come alive with performances, cultural showcases, fashion, music, dance, spoken word, drama, competitions and activities designed to celebrate the unique talents and identities within the JFC community.

More Than an Event

Cultural Week is more than entertainment.

It is an opportunity for students to step beyond the classroom, laboratories and clinical training environments and express another important part of who they are.

JFC Munene College brings together students from different counties, communities, cultures and life experiences. Cultural Week creates a platform where this diversity can be celebrated, shared and appreciated.

It is also an opportunity for students to build confidence, teamwork, leadership, creativity and stronger relationships with one another.

At JFC, education is not only about preparing students for examinations and professional qualifications. It is also about developing confident, creative and well-rounded individuals who can work, communicate and lead effectively in diverse environments.

What to Expect

JFC Cultural Week 2026 will feature a variety of student-led activities and performances, including:

Celebrating the Talent Within JFC

Some of the most remarkable talents within a college community are never discovered inside a lecture room.

A student studying Mortuary Science may also be a gifted musician.

A Perioperative Theatre Technology student may be an exceptional dancer.

A Community Health student may have extraordinary talent in spoken word.

A Biotechnology, Medical Engineering, Nutrition, Counselling or Health Records student may step onto the stage and reveal a completely different side of themselves.

Cultural Week gives these students a platform.

It allows the JFC community to see and celebrate the whole student — not only the course they study or the marks they receive.

Building One Community

One of the greatest strengths of Cultural Week is its ability to bring the College together.

Students who may rarely interact during normal academic schedules get an opportunity to meet, perform, compete and celebrate together.

Through these experiences, Cultural Week helps build a stronger sense of belonging and reminds students that although they may come from different backgrounds, they are part of one growing JFC community.

Students are encouraged to begin preparing their performances, ideas, cultural presentations and creative concepts early.

Whether your talent is in music, dance, fashion, drama, poetry, traditional performance, public speaking, creativity or something completely different, Cultural Week is your opportunity to step forward.
