Madam Cecilia Ochol,
Director,
JFC Munene College of Health Sciences
JFCM envisions a future where all people are able to realize their highest possible health and well-being. We pursue this vision by advancing collaborative research and education that improves health and well-being of individuals and their communities.
JFCM members span is departmental and our many partners include public agencies, community and faith based organizations, employers, health payers and diverse healthcare delivery systems.
Together, our research and training programs are far-reaching and reflect the rich diversity of our institution, of greater Kenya and African Nations.
JFCM values the complementary strengths of diverse people, organization and communities, investing our time and resources in partnership capacity building, workforce development and strategies to catalyze, support and enhance many different forms of research, all in an effort to advance population health and health equity.
With the Covid-19 we have learnt that no amount or research and development is ever enough. The world economy has been slowed down due to the lack of expertise that was available. This defines the existence of JFCM College to be a center of excellence producing health science protégés to assist the entire communities. And as usual, we’ll never stop saying “This is where it starts”.
It is also important to remember that education is not just a process of giving knowledge for a future job but a life-long process which creates an understanding of moral and ethical values to guide one’s life in the right path.
I want to welcome you to JFCM and encourage you to get involved. Please explore our website and contact us to learn more about the many ways our institution can help you advance health equity here in Kenya and across the globe.
“Do the work with intention not because of compulsion”
With all my love, best wishes and blessings.
God Bless JFC Munene College of Health Sciences.
